Well Friday night was not exactly great viewing conditions. I was suitably impressed by the fog and the thunderstorms. We're going to try again tonight to set up our telescopes and enjoy Saturn and other delights. If you wish to join me as well as other members of the Durham Region Astronomical Association, please do. It all happens at the Iroquois Park Sports Center at the corner of Henry and Victoria in Whitby. (just south of the 401, one block west of Brock St., Whitby.

On a separate note -I've stumbled across the blog of a young woman who is participating in a NASA study. Erin is voluntarily bed-ridden at a clinic in Cleveland for 12 weeks. The purpose of the study is to mimic the physiological affects of a zero-gravity or microgravity environment. The interest is in seeing whether or not a zero-gravity exercise regimen will combat the deterioration of bone and muscles common on long space flights.
